Master Summer-in-the-City Style
Simplicity
‘Tis the season for understated elegance! Slip into one of our dresses or jumpsuits and some barely-there sandals to find out why sometimes less is really more.
The Humble Vest Top
Let’s just take a minute for the classic vest top, shall we? A wardrobe basic by name, but not by nature; it’s a hero item that will serve any wearer well each and every summer season. You can quite easily wear it on its own with a skirt and when it’s cooler, it’ll look just as good under an oversized shirt or blazer.
Button Down Shirt
Another summer city style. You can dress it up or down, which makes it an item that you’ll wear on repeat in the summer. Wear it tucked into jeans or wide-leg pants, layer it over a basic cotton tank, or throw it on over a slip dress. For a casual, comfortable look, start with a basic white t-shirt and tailored shorts, then add a button-down shirt.
The Extra Layer
Despite the temptation to shed all remnants of layers come warmer temperatures, we can't disregard outerwear altogether, especially in London! A light jacket or cardigan is your friend when it comes to such situations—because, let’s face it, there might still be cool mornings and breezy nights you should be stylishly prepared for.
The Dress Top
A top/dress is one smart wardrobe essential that will keep you feeling (and looking) cool all summer long. It’s effortless to throw on, but you’ll instantly look put together for a day at the office, weekend brunch, and everything in between.
